G.L. Pease's Charing Cross
Charring cross is a traditional Balkan style blend of fine Virgina leaf, richly seaonsed with smoky Cyprian Latikia, and spiced with exquisite and exotic tobaccos of the Orient. This blend draws its inspiration fro the classic tobaccos of days past and is a fine evening smoke.

McClelland's Bombay Extra
A variation on McClelland's famed Bombay Court, this blend contains dark Virginias, an additional touch of Perique and, of course, an extra dose of Cyprian Latikia, resulting in a unique and popular formula. A rich, full mixture for evening enjoyment.
Captain Black
Captain Black is famous for its cavendish blends. The tobacco is cut like thin like strips of paper. The texture is very moist, and for this reason it may require multiple lightings to get started. The smoke billows think mixed with much steam. The flavor is saccharine, almost flowery. I do not prefer this brand. In order to make the flavor more tolerable, I expose the tobacco to air in order to dry it out.
Edgeworth
I discovered this delightful blend at a smoke shop near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. The mix contains Virginia Burley and has a dry cedary flavor to it. The smoke can be a little astringent, but it is excellent for clearing nasel congestion. This is a dry mix and burns quite nicely.
I especially suggest you try this smoke in a traditional corn cob. The combination makes for a very good Deep South Smoke
Sail
Sail is a Dutch cavendish is a transporting delight--after the first light you enter the world of ye Old Dutch West India Company. Beginners may find that this brand has quite a bite to it, so it is imperative that one smokes this mix slowly. It has a fragrant, peppery aroma--an excellent digestif after a heavy meal or while drinking cognac.
Sir Walter Raleigh
By far my favorite mix, this is a very moist burley blend of dark tobaccos. A chocolate nutty flavor predominates. You get a very thick, smooth smoke from this brand. It's very mild and gives off vapors which communicate a powerful nicotine buzz as a cigar might. A beginner would do well to start with this brand. I personally maintain a large tin of it as I never tire this rich Virginia mix.
